Toby

Toby is raised on the outskirts of a small village by his abusive mother, Pauline, and his wicked Aunt Carol. Continually bullied throughout his life, he struggles to form loving relationships and develops a deep rooted hatred of women. When he is taken out of school he creates a dangerous fantasy love affair with his tutor, Ruth.

When he eventually escapes the village life, he is totally unprepared for the wider world and struggles to find his place in society. As Toby grows into a young man, his warped view of life makes it difficult for him to distinguish between his dreams and reality, sometimes with dangerous consequences.

A tale of mismatched relationships and unrequited love, Toby is a story of one boy's distorted growth, a young woman's demise and an unknown onlooker with mysterious intentions.
